Self-Closing Gate System

We offer a variety of gate options to safely secure your pool area:

Aluminium Gates
Life-Guard’s self-closing, self-latching gate utilizes a square custom made aluminium frame that can support itself with or without the pool fence. It is totally removable or it can be permanently anchored. The gate is constructed of 25mm aluminum square tubing with a strong 1.2mm wall. The gate is powder coated to match the fence i.e. in black, white, or green, and we use matching black, white, or green mesh.

Magna-Latch Option:
Life-Guard’s premium self-closing gate uses the most proven latch and hinge system available. Imported from Australia, the Magna-Latch gate latches are magnetically triggered safety devices that have revolutionized the safety, reliability and child-resistance of swimming pool gates.

The unique operating principle is simple. As the gate swings shut, a powerful 'permanent' magnet draws a latch bolt from one housing into the other, latching it securely. No amount of shaking, pushing or pulling can disengage the latch.  The dangerous problem of a gate "resting on the latching mechanism", appearing to be latched, is eliminated when using MAGNA-LATCH.

In conjunction with the Magna-Latch, we also use Tru-Close gate hinges. These strong, adjustable hinges are injection-moulded from a special blend of glass-fibre reinforced polymers, which means they never rust, bind, wear, sag or stain.

Mechanical Latch and Pin Option:
For a very safe yet more cost effective solution, we offer the Life-Guard self-closing gate fitted with 2 lockable mechanical latches. The mesh covered aluminium gate is used in conjunction with 2 powerful spring-loaded hinges that ensure that the gate will latch properly after each opening. The latches can be locked using a small padlock or combination lock.

STEEL  Gate Systems

We also manufacture and install a galvanized, epoxy coated gate with our removable fence system. Each gate is closed using a powerful spring, has a double latch system and is lockable.
